Getting back to the new TriDef 3D software version 4.5, it apparently now supports over 460 games (430

Barnes and Noble Nook Color eReader Review

The Paranoid Android eReader (and Tablet?)
Barnes and Noble probably thought they were pulling an "Apple" when they dropped the "N" bomb late last year with the release of the Nook Color eReader, but we seriously doubt that they realized that they had a monster on their hands; an affordable Android-based alternative to the iPad that would attract the attention of hackers worldwide. Aiptek3D i2 is an interesting and affordable consumer 3D camcorder that can take 3D videos and 3D photos, as well as normal 2D videos and photographs. Dolby Plans Lighter, Theft-Free 3D Theater Glasses

While manufacturers work on new 3D glasses for the home, Dolby has announced a little something special for theatergoers. Compatible with Dolby 3D Digital Cinemas, Dolby's 3D glasses promise a more comfortable viewing experience at a lower price. Don't get too excited. Even though the passive glasses are cheaper, I am guessing the cost won't have an effect on ticket prices. However, theater owners should be happy... and you do have that comfort thing to fall back on. Dolby worked with 3M

Watch the Trailer for 'Hoodwinked Too'

Will viewers of the "Hoodwinked" sequel feel hoodwinked? Judging by the trailer below, I'm not entirely sure. However, they should know a few things about this sequel to the 2005 computer-animated comedy.Â
First of all, "Hoodwinked Too! Hood vs. Evil," is missing a few voices from the original cast. Anne Hathaway is out, with Hayden Panettiere ("Heroes") filling Red Puckett's red hood. Jim Belushi is also missing from the cast.Â
It's a pretty darn impressive one, too, with Glenn

Samsung Debuts Bluetooth 3D Glasses

It could already be time for new 3D add-ons -- if you own a Samsung 3D TV. Last week, the manufacturer was showing off a new concept for 3D eyewear. According to PCMag.com, the addition of Bluetooth will eliminate the need for line of sight. The new glasses should also make the viewing

A Bit More on the Topic About Active DisplayPort to DVI Adapters

Here is an interesting find that I’ve stumbled upon today, an Active DisplayPort to DVI adapter from Sapphire. The interesting thing here is that the adapter is Active, but does not have an additional USB power cable, but if you are paying enough attention you should note that this adapter is providing just a Single Link DVI output. The adapter is originally intended to be used with AMD/ATI video cards fro providing video connection to more common monitors that are not using DisplayPort

Mitsubishi drops LCD HDTVs to focus on 73-inch and above sized displays

That we didn't spot a successor to Mitsubishi's well-received line of Unisen LCD HDTVs at CES 2011 should have been a signal, but now the company has made it official -- it is downsizing TV operations, closing some offices and leaving the LCD TV business entirely. Trying the Game Battle: LA in Stereo 3D Mode with 3D Vision

The game Battle: LA is another complimentary game to a major movie release, we’ve seen a lot of these, so it is not surprise to see one such title to go along with the release of that action sci-fi movie as well. I usually skip these as they usually are not something wasting your time on, unless I like the movie so much, that I want to try the game, but that was not the case with the Battle: LA movie (not that the movie was that bad, but it wasn’t very good either). AMD HD3D Technology in 60 Seconds on Video Using a 3D HDTV

AMD just released two short videos promoting their stereoscopic 3D solution, but interestingly enough the focus is only on 3D HDTV and not on monitors (there is actually only one supporting shutter glasses anyway and it is not very nice looking). In the first video AMD’s Shane Parfitt is setting up AMD HD3D gaming in 60 seconds on an AMD Radeon graphics card using DDD’s TriDef 3D middle-ware, but the video card is not the just announced Radeon 6990 though. Red Riding Hood Movie Review

Better Read than "Red"

Little Red Riding Hood is one of those Brothers Grimm tales that you've unlikely given much thought to since the age of, say, seven or eight. It's not really the Brothers' most memorable work, with its young, crimson-clad darling, who just wants to go see her grannie. So there's a lot of room for interpretation,

3D: Where Is It Going?

Have you heard about this wacky 3D craze?

It started around 1922 when the first feature-length motion picture to pop out of the screen—Power of Love starring Terry O'Neil and Barbara Bedford—was shown in Los Angeles. It only took another 30 years for Bwana Devil and House of Wax to make stereoscopic 3D a hit again... and three years later, the 3D fad dissipated once more. Of course, 3D never completely left the movies, and it started its resurge in the 1980s
